Companion Programme

The companion programme offers a visit to the Municipal Gallery in the Lenbachhaus, the former villa of the Munich "painter prince" Franz von Lenbach (1836-1904).
The Lenbachhaus Art Gallery is mainly known as the home of a collection of paintings by the "Blue Rider" group of artists. Built at the end of the 19th century in the style of a Tuscany villa, the gallery also houses important paintings by Franz von Lenbach and other painters of the 19th and early 20th century.
